January 13th is National Gluten-Free Day, and we're celebrating by introducing you to an amazing woman.
Meet Sharon B. of Mise en Place!
A culinary and travel enthusiast, Sharon B. was a "foodie" long before it was even a thing. But, in 2011, she was diagnosed with non-coeliac gluten intolerance.
And it seemed like her foodie days were over...😢
Until...she made the decision to learn about her condition and seriously recalibrate her cooking and baking styles. 💪
She read tons of books, went through many courses and seminars. She even went all the way to South Korea to experience exceptional gluten-free temple food at a Michelin-starred Buddhist temple restaurant.
Yep! You read that right: gluten-free food at a Buddhist temple, all the way in ✈️ South Korea.
Wow! Talk about THOROUGH research.
And of course, with such passion, she served on the board of the Gluten Intolerance Group of Greater Dallas chapter for 5 years. Even acting as President for two and half years.
You see, Sharon is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to gluten-free living, and Yumday is really proud to introduce her and her work to our community. Especially to the families who need help with gluten-free food.
Sharon generously shares her knowledge and lets you experience a delicious gluten-free diet without compromising taste and quality. She brings all of her passion, love, and expertise as a foodie into Mise en Place.
She serves the Dallas, Texas area making cookies, bread, and cakes with mouth-watering textures and complex flavors. Her baked goods will definitely help you find joy in living a gluten-free lifestyle.
