The Negroni Sbagliato is a variation of the classic Negroni cocktail that was created by accident. The word "Sbagliato" in Italian means "mistaken" or "wrong," and the story goes that a bartender in Milan accidentally used sparkling wine instead of gin while making a Negroni cocktail. Despite the mistake, the drink was still enjoyed by the customer, and the Negroni Sbagliato was born. Today, the Negroni Sbagliato is a popular variation of the classic cocktail and is typically made with Prosecco or other sparkling wine, Campari, and sweet vermouth.
