Home » Happy National Fudge Day!
It’s time for fudge… again. June 16th is National Fudge Day, even though we just celebrated National Nutty Fudge Day on May 12th. I feel like these two fudge days are a bit too close to each other—but I guess if you’re a fudge fan, then you probably don’t mind. 😉
If you want a simple way to make fudge using only a few ingredients and your microwave (no special tools required!), check out this recipe from Land O’Lakes. I used this recipe to make my chopped pecan fudge bars for last month’s food holiday. It was super easy, and it yielded some very rich and sweet results!
What I like about this easy, microwave-driven recipe is that I can experiment with different fudge fillings in a low stakes kind of way. For example, I know that my chopped pecans tasted really good in a chocolate fudge. But what if I wanted to try other nuts? Or what if I want to throw in some mini marshmallows? I could test them out with this recipe. (I have a feeling any of these options would taste really good though.)
If you’re eating fudge today, KUDOS to you! 👍⠀Do you have a favorite fudge recipe? Or a favorite fancy fudge? Let me know in the comments!
