You might know that I’m a fan of toast. I really enjoy having toast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think my favorite thing about toast is that you can keep it ultra simple or make it as fancy as you want! For lunch today, I decided to go a little fancy with my toast. I made avocado toast on sourdough, topped with slices of crispy bacon and fried eggs. It was dee-lish! 🍞🥑🥓🍳😋
Avocado toast is one of my go-to meals. First of all, I love avocado. Second, avocado toast is one of the easiest things to prepare. Third, it’s incredibly tasty and filling. And lastly, it reminds me of being in Southern California where I lived that avo toast life every day. ✨🥑✨
With all the sourdough I’ve been baking lately, making avocado toast on thick slices of homemade sourdough was a no brainer. I like to make my avocado spread with a fresh squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper, and red chili flakes. Gotta have a little heat!
All my toast people out there: what do you like to put on your toast? In addition to avocado, I also like adding greens and beans to my toast. But I’m always in search of new ideas to gussy up toast. If you have a creative toast recipe, I’d love to know!
